    Rodent Watering System

I know everyone uses one certain valve for the watering system. Can these valves be used?

Maybe, I'm not sure though. Here is a link to a store that sells em where you can get an idea of what they look like:http://www.reptilebasics.com/rodent-bird-watering

    Hope that helps somewhat.

    Thanks
Yeah, I have some of those I got when I bought a rack. I just can't justify 3-4 dollars a valve. It seems a bit excessive.

The others are around .50 cents a valve

I'm going to order a few dozen for my rabbits but i was wondering why they couldn't just be used for rats and mice as well

Don't know about that particular valve, but, in my opinion, the $3-4 a valve is just good insurance against floods...
    Klubertanz sell them as well..

True, I guess. I wonder how much more often one of those valves would cause a flood vs one of the expensive ones.

I'll have to set up an experiment. ;-)

Put in an order of 40 of those for my rabbits so i'll setup a little experiment and see if there's any difference.

At one of the farm supply stores I saw water bottles in with the rabbit ones with those valves, but the container was smaller and it said for rats and mice. I dunno if mice would be able to use it 'cause of the size but I'm sure larger rats could. I could also be underestimating the ability of the little guys

I might have to order a couple just to see if I can install them in the side of a glass tank
