Are you certified for getting approved for a CITIES permit. Without that you cant ship international. And its NOT CHEAP and can take weeks to months unless your friends with Wilbanks who has same day CITIES.

The purchaser does not need CITES paperwork to import, only an import permit if his country requires it. You are correct that it is costly to ship international. Also, Mike is not the only person that has same day CITES. Anyone can get that. As a matter of fact, I have CITES docs sitting on my desk waiting for an international customer to place an order.

    And now you know why.

I had the same idea when I first joined and saw the price difference between the USA and the UK.

But, by the time I worked out the costs and restrictions involved, I could see why not many people have the ability to import well.

Everything that comes in has to be housed (and quarantined from any existing collection ), fed and checked before being put up for sale and you need to have the financial stability to survive if they do not sell straight away.

My minimum to ship outside the US is $5000 and the buyer pays for all fees. It's not worth the time and paperwork for less then that. CITES has never taken me more then 7 business days to get processed.

No. The closest I have shipped to the Phillipines is Hong Kong.
