The Pretty and Ugly! (Pastel Genetics)!

There is a lot of variation in Pastel genetics! So lets see them!

Lets see your Prettiest and Ugliest Pastel in your collection Please include an estimate weight as well.

If they have been bred did they pass on their good/bad looks?

    Here are mine:

    Capri (as a baby)

    Capri at 1600 grams

    Cleo (as a baby)

    Cleo at 900 grams

My two, not really sure if they are considered good or bad examples. The pics are kind of dark, I haven't really gotten them out for better shots yet.

    Binoo, unsexed 145 grams

    Mater, supposed female 215 grams

Capri is a hot hot pastel!! Something that shows with her as a baby is she is all yellow...no orange. The orange tends to brown out as they get older. Just something to look for when picking one out. Capri is a super pastel???? Her head has a lot of fading.

Thanks I picked her out at a show. She was sold to me as a normal pastel het ghost. I'm trying to breed her with my Spider 66%het ghost male, but she has not locked with him yet.

I never realized that the orange browns out with age. Now that you said something it does make since.
