    New forum: LIASIS (?)

Hey mods and admins of BPnet

I personally love the Liasis family of pythons, small as it may be.

I would love to see a new forum dedicated to the Liasis family, if there is enough support.

I have Included a poll so we'll see how much support it gets and go from there?

    What do you guys think?

Yeah they have a very "unique" look about them

What really gets me is the INSANE iridescence on the Macklots python. Which is why I am getting one ASAP LOL

So, 2 in favor so far? not bad not bad!

    I don't keep Liasis, but a sub-forum for them wouldn't hurt I guess.

I don't fit any of the options. I don't keep them, but I don't care either way if there's a forum for the owners of those types.. so... hmmm.

    Re: New forum: LIASIS (?)

There used to be a sub forum for Liasis but I think when they restructured, it got lumped in with the general pythons. Sadly, as awesome as the Liasis are, it was not a very popular part of the site. Never understood why they don't take off. My Macklots is my favorite snake, beautiful and personality to match! While I am trying to sell off my collection, she is one that will stay with me for life.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I don't keep liasis (though a few species are on my list), and while it is unfortunate, I DO think a Liasis subforum would be useless at this point in time.

    Re: New forum: LIASIS (?)

We had a Liasis forum that was up for about three years. I think it was last spring or early summer that I did some restructuring...and even though the forum was as old as it was...it had fewer than 25 threads to move into the General Python forum.

They ARE amazing animals and I would love to see their popularity take off enough to justify a full forum set aside for them. But it'll have to be proven first. Start by seeing how much attention you can generate in the General Python forum. If we start seeing numerous threads on them that draw interest from others as well....then I'll be happy to try opening up a new Liasis forum.
