    Soul Sucker? Woma Hidden Gene?

    How do you produce one?

    Is it

Woma ; Lemon Pastel ; Lesser

    Woma ; Lesser

    Woma Hidden Gene ; Lesser

Or Woma Hidden Gene ; Lesser ; Lemon Pastel

Can someone also explain to me what the whole Woma Hidden Gene thing is about?

    -Daniel

I'm not sure about what goes into the Soul Sucker, but Kevin from Nerd clears up the Hidden Gene Woma in post #20 of this thread:

It sounds like a Soulsucker is an HG Woma type 1 X Lesser Platinum.

From what I've been told it's that, but there's more stuff in there too.

Re: Soul Sucker? Woma Hidden Gene?

Its simply an HG Woma crossed with a Lesser.

    http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?t=122970

The HG Woma is a totally different morph from the Woma (both of which are basic one gene morphs), they saw it, figured it was a Woma, then noticed it made ridiculously awesome snake when bred to things, they guessed it was a Hidden Gene, but in the long run it turned out to be just a simple basic gene (1 gene not 2).

The Soul Sucker looks so fantastic because the HG Woma morph is just a fantastic genetic morph that reacts in amazing ways in designer morphs.

Andy at NERD went over all the cool stuff with me when I bought me Hidden Gene Woma/Granite/Yb.

    The inferno is --HG woma/granite/yb/pastel
The soul sucker is ---HG woma/Hg lesser
The Angel of death is ---Inferno x wtih sprector looking female
The Red spectrum is ---Inferno x lesser(Inferno/soulsucker)
    THe Enchi Inferno is---Infernox Enchi

I dont think that there is any seven gene combos that have been produced. And how easy would it be to reproduce a seven gene combo when breeding it to a normal. Also if there were seven genes we would see more morphs in this clutch other then lesers,hg womas, and soul suckers.

If you look on NERD site it will say under Soul Sucker Hg womax Hg Lesser
I paid 5k for a female, males are 8.5k,Infernos are 17.5k,and Soul suckers are 20-25k. These are Kevins favorite projects and no one else till recently had them. So the price is high. Not because of how easy they are to produce, but because they are somewhat new to the public(outside NERD).

Yes some people already call them woma 1 and woma 2.

Lots of confusion on this morph, and lots of secrets were kept for a long time about these animals, so NERD can sit back and watch everyone try and guess what they are doing up there. Kevin probably gets a good laugh every time he sees post like this.

Can anyone send me a link to the site you are talking about when Kevin said it was a 7 gene combo.

Re: Soul Sucker? Woma Hidden Gene?

does anyone have pics from an adult red spectrum?

ive only seen baby pics from them.

but im pretty sure now, that the soulsucker is a woma type 2 x lesser.

the soulsucker 2.0 was a soulsucker bread to a weird looking normal- accourding to an other thread ere on bp net...

there are some confusions about the soulsucker being a woma t2 x hg lesser or woma t2 x lesser.

nerds website says its a hg lesser, but serval pll who work with this morphs say, its just a normal lesser involfed...

Re: Soul Sucker? Woma Hidden Gene?

Ask MKHerps, that could be wrong. The only Lesser I know of that is in any way special is the Platinum which is actually caused by a single "hidden" gene that doesnt present itself in normals (Het) but does present itself with Lessers and Butters (Platty Daddys and Butter Daddys). I strongly doubt it's that, though, because what I've heard was that it's part of the BEL Gene Complex, so 50% of offspring from a Platty Daddy get the hidden gene (daddy gene) and 50% get the Lesser Gene, although that could be wrong and it could be a separate recessive gene.

Re: Soul Sucker? Woma Hidden Gene?

Correct Lessers came from Platty Daddys, but they are not quite the same getting them the name Lesser Platinum. NERDs Lesser stock came from the Pladdy Daddy, so they are claming that their stock is HG lessers. I do not quite understand how the Pladdy Daddy's are made, but I think you need the normal looking offsprings crossed with Lessers to recreate the Pladdy Daddy. I could be wrong on that though. So back to what I was told by Andy at NERD. They have only crossed the HG woma with there line of Lessers(Originated by the Pladdy Daddy), so they claim you neeed their Lessers to produce the Soul Sucker, but if they havent tried it with other blood lines how can we be so sure. And a Lesser is a Lesser they all should have originated from a Paddy Daddy somewhere down the line. When the Pladdy Daddy came in everyone went crazy buying the Lesser Platinums thinking they were the key to produce the Platinums, but all you got were more Lessers. I purchased a NERD line Lesser from a soul sucker clutch to go with my HG woma Granite Yb just to be sure, but I will be trying other Lessers down the road. Another good person to talk to about the HG Woma is Matt at GHI Retiles, he is good friends with Kevin at NERD and is working with HG womas also. He is more knowlegable on the topic then me.

    Matt
