    Temp Guns

I just got a Temp Gun in the mail so I can easily and quickly monitor the temps inside my enclosure. My hot side is 95.4 and my cool side is 80.3.... are these good temps?

I got a Raytek minitemp MT6. It retails for $99 but they have it on Amazon for $54.... with my prime membership I got free shipping as well.

I ordered it yesterday and already have it

It's super easy to use and comes with the required 9volt battery.

    Re: Temp Guns

How do you take the temps with a temp gun? If you have the tubs in a rack, do you just pull out the tup really fast and then shoot the temp before it cools down?

I thought a temp gun would be a good idea, but wouldn't a person still need an accurite or somthing similiar to monitor the humidity?

I was just wondering, because I am gonna be getting a boaphile rack soon (getting a good deal on it because I live less than an hour from boaphile, so I am gonna pick it up direct and he is gonna pass the shipping savings on to me ).

I figured I would just set an accurite up in the top tub, and then hopfully the temps and humidity should be about the same in the other tubs?

Not meaning to hijack the thread, just wondering how the temp gun would work vs. using an accurite.

I shoot for 90 on the hot side 80 cool side.
Got myself a nice temp gun a few months back. They are great. At first I thought they were pricey for a thermometer, but now I am glad I did.
