    Recent Painting...

This is a recent painting I did. Inspired by Pink Floyds "Atom Heart Mother" CD cover...

    Lucifer Sam, Siam cat...
    Always sitting by your side,
    Always by your side...
    That cat's something I can't explain...

    Re: Recent Painting...

Interesting painting. What inspired the changes from the CD cover? Blue, for water or life? Graviational pull of the cow? The road appears almost like the ring around Saturn but as it gets really far away it seems lost? Are you Hindu or have studied it at all?

I took an art appreciation class awhile back and, being a numbers/science kind of person needing proof, I was always frustrated that we were looking at old stuff trying to figure out what the artist was trying to convery. I think it's pointless to "discover" what the artwork means because if you use a standard of defined clues it makes every artist the same person. I think every artist should include a placard or description with a piece of art so we can guess and see if we were close.
