I have holes everywhere; don't be afraid to experiment to find out what works for you. They don't really effect temps as much as they do humidity. If you have too many holes and your humidity is to low you can always tape up the excess holes with some painters tape.

That seems good for a start. You won't know until you actually have everything running. If your humidity is good then you're done; if its not you may need to add or remove(tape up) some holes.

You really won't know until you get it heated up and put the water bowl in. And then even after you add the snake things may change. I started with a row on both sides and then got it to the correct temp with the water bowl inside. And then added additional rows of holes until I got it right.

update . using a zoomed reostat... its set to low as it can go !! and back floow reading 95F and front floor reading 77F this is 2 hours or so later...and still with no beding
for beding im either gonna use aspen or coco cuncks probably aspen?
