    Re: most expensive snake breed?

I think we should count out morphs on this one. The prices on them are so unpredictable and ever changing. Id like to know myself what most expensive snake breed that is available to the public is.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

    Re: most expensive snake breed?

I think those posting what they believe to be one of the most expensive snakes should include their prices

    Re: most expensive snake breed?

I believe Boelens are the most expensive as a base snake, not as a morph. Certainly morphs are going to be more expensive, and I believe the most expensive morph may be either a ball or a retic morph.

What about hots? aren't they expensive to get and keep since you usually need training and permit for those animals?..
If blind people wear those really big dark sunglasses, why don't deaf people wear earmuffs?

Many hots are surprisingly cheap, many places do not have any regulations about them whatsoever.

Just hit up kingsnake or fauna classifieds to see how cheap they are.

    Re: most expensive snake breed?

Boelens are sure expensive, I'd imagine there have to be a couple "6 or so of a kind in captivity" species with at least one residing in private collections.

Kinghorni scrubs outside of aus perhaps? I think I heard there are a couple in Europe somewhere. Anything uncommon will have inherent value, by simple virtue of supply and demand.

Anyone know what other species are pretty much nonexistant in captivity with just a handful of animals in private collections?
