Poison Dart Frogs - Temp and Humidity

I've gotten conflicting information on the temps and humidity needed for my frogs. Is 82 degrees too hot? What is the hottest they can get? Should the humidity be between 80-90?

Care can be fairly generalized, but what species are you planning on keeping?

I don't have their scientific names but this is what I have and I hope you can tell the type by the names:

Yellow Back
Citronella
Powderblue

D. tinctorius. Good choice, nice bold frogs, they should be very visible in the viv.
Up to 80 degrees. They can easily handle down to 65 at night. Humidity should remain high, but that's a delicate balance between spraying, water, air flow and mold. My starting dart tanks were quite interesting at first with trying to figure out how to do this.

The breeding thing will be troublesome for many, because it'll muddy things up, but I'm not looking to lecture or scold.

Thanks Mike! I really have no interest in breeding so that shouldn't be a problem. During the day the tank gets between 81-83 but cools down to the mid 70's at night. How would you recommend cooling the tank down if necessary? I have a very shallow water bowl that I've noticed they kind of sit in and I thought maybe that's how they cool off. The light fixture gives off some heat so I've been turning it off when it gets to be about 83.

I've thought about the mold issue too because I thought there was an odd film on the plants on the bottom when I brought the tank home. I misted it and that seemed to make it go away. I've had them less than a week and they are very active and all eat when I feed them (twice a day).

I truly appreciate any help or suggestions you have to offer.

I'd really love to have some dart frogs someday, Ive had my eyes on them for a couple years now..

Thanks! They are so easy to care for and they have doubled in size now. I'll post more pictures soon. They are little fatties now!

I had the same problem with temps, so I made a vented light hood using 40mm fans, with a fan blowing in and a fan blowing out. It brought my viv temps down to just above room temperature.
