What type of wood climbing log
    Hey all,

Im planning on getting my snake a little climbing log to make his tank a little more exotic, however i heard that there is a type of wood that should not be used for bp's. (I believe its cedar) I just wanna make sure i know what type of log not to get. If you know please post. Thanks in advanced.

I think the cedar is only a problem if you use the shavings because they expose the cedar oils which are toxic to many animals. Any of the driftwood or grapewood is safe from what I've learned. Get something sturdy though because once you BP gets a little older (and thicker) he probably won't climb as much and will be a little clumsy. I swore mine was mixed with some kind of arboreal when I first got him because he was always climbing, but now he doesn't do it much.
