how often does your snake poo?

most of my experience is with corns, and i have a friend who has a BP, but i don't know if she's unique or if i should expect similar behavior from my new baby. you see, my friend's BP only goes about once a month. always has, ever since being a baby. doctor says it's just how she is, nothing wrong with her health wise causing this. so i fed my snake on weds, and no bathroom breaks have been made yet. i fed her again today. she's eating fuzzies, in case anyone asks. i'm worried that if i feed her on this regular 5 day schedule and she's backed up i could do some harm?

i also don't want to handle her (i'd like to handle her daily, as i do with all of my other snakes) and have her poo all over me. that would be bad.

any insight?

About once a month is pretty normal. It depends on how much of the prey is being used for growth and energy. Mine has a fairly normal schedule of 3 in, 1 out...

I wonder how that works once she starts taking two or three items at a time?

Ever have issues with pooping during handling? Or are they pretty good at holding it? That's another concern of mine.

It's about the same.

As far as pooping during handling, sometimes it happens. One way to help avoid it is keep records of when you feed and when they poop. Then you can kind of figure out what their cycle is and know when they should be getting close...

Young snakes poop less as they use more of the prey for growing! If they are pooping alot then they are probaly being fed too much! 4-6 weeks is pretty normal. They will poop after every shed usually! They can go up to 2 months without a poop! If they are backed up then you can see it because the are large and hard near their vent. In this case, usually a good soak in warm water will get them going!

yeah, i've seen that in corns before. a nice soak in warm water always helps.

Small rats he poos about every week it's usually not big poos tho should I feed him weaklings instead the small rats seem to badly give him a bulge but u can still see one tho
