Morelia amethistina in the States?
Doing a little research and finding conflicting information. Was initially looking into Scrub Pythons and found at some point in the past 10-15 years they split them into various species and subspecies. Well Morelia amethistina is the one I am curious about but I can't seem to find anything more recent than about 2004 on them here in the states. Anyone know anything?
I can't find them on any banned list except Florida and that is a old enough listing it may not be applicable anymore.
Nothing I'm interested in anytime soon but down the road a year or two, possibly. Just trying to do some homework now rather than later.

I don't know much about the Amethystines, except that the longest one in captivity is around 16-17 ft long.
You can probably find some experts here, who can answer your questions:

Yeah Nick Mutton at inland reptiles had the largest collection of scrubs in the u.s. at one point. He's a smart cat too! Answers all phone calls & emails!
