Yeah that was just after I cleaned tank and laid substrate down. Shes resting in her hide now, but at the time of the picture there was nothing in the tank. Not even a water bowl.

Popping can be very dangerous for a snake if not done properly. I would suggest having a reptile vet or an experienced herper that you trust do it.

With some of the broken up "alien heads", it kinda has a granite look to me. I have no personal experience with granites, but thats what I see.

Id say granite. That was my first thought. Now is it just a flook in the pattern or is it genetic, thats the question...and one that can only be answered by proving her out.

    Nice pickup!

Granite's usually have a broken neck stripe or a dot in the neck stripe. A nice normal ball python with a cool pattern unless it somehow proved genetic. Good luck!

Looks like a granite to me but there are normals that look like granites. So you'll have to breed it to prove out the genetics.

I didnt mention granite just because IF it looks like a granite doesnt mean its genetic. I have a VPI granite that will hopefully lay eggs this year and prove to be genetic, untill then she is just a big normal girl to me. A buddy of mine has a female spider that doesnt have a specle one on her but almost every clutch she lays is dirty granite look:confused:

    Granite looking yes.

The real question is will she pass it on genetically.

There are hundreds if not thousands of "granite looking" snakes, and only a very few pass the look on.
I just bought this snake for 65 dollars. I was told that it was a female granite. I was also told that it weighed 2-300 grams, and eat of friday. Yeah NO! It doesn't have a bit in its belly, and only weighs 94 grams. I just want to make sure I got a granite. I can deal with the rest. Is it to young to find out what sex it is if you pop it?
if you ask this question, then get someone else to pop it. not knowing what you're doing can harm the snake by trying to pop it..
