I think we should count out morphs on this one. The prices on them are so unpredictable and ever changing. Id like to know myself what most expensive snake breed that is available to the public is.

I think those posting what they believe to be one of the most expensive snakes should include their prices :)

I believe Boelens are the most expensive as a base snake, not as a morph. Certainly morphs are going to be more expensive, and I believe the most expensive morph may be either a ball or a retic morph.

What about hots? aren't they expensive to get and keep since you usually need training and permit for those animals?..

Many hots are surprisingly cheap, many places do not have any regulations about them whatsoever.

Just hit up kingsnake or fauna classifieds to see how cheap they are.

Boelens are sure expensive, I'd imagine there have to be a couple "6 or so of a kind in captivity" species with at least one residing in private collections.

Kinghorni scrubs outside of aus perhaps? I think I heard there are a couple in Europe somewhere. Anything uncommon will have inherent value, by simple virtue of supply and demand.

Anyone know what other species are pretty much nonexistant in captivity with just a handful of animals in private collections?
