My snake got out of his cage!!!

Does anyone know where the most common places for ball pythons to go if they get out of there enclosure? thanks for all your help

Check the warm wires behind the fridge. Ive heard that lots go there.

just checked behind the fridge and nothing i checked by my lizards cage because of the heat lamps and heating accessories there but nothing i have no clue where he could be i have searched everywhere.

Don't quote me on this but some people say that if you put an animal (whatever their fav feeding animal is) in a box on the floor it might bring them out. Not sure if its works unless they are hungry, but you could try. Smelly bedding might work too.

i use frozen thawed so i guess i will thaw out a mouse and pput it in his feeding toat with a heat light? maybe that will bring him out??

hi there-- first of all- i feel your pain. have a snake escape can be the frustrating thing ever!
when looking for him id just look in dark secluded places. anywhere from the hamper to under a pile of clothes to inside baggage, closets, under appliances in kitchen, and (god forbid) in the venting. ive had escapes twice. once i found steve under the wine cooling fridge and the other time i found evita in a pice of baggage in a closet.
at night iveread its good to cool the house down a little provide hotspots such as heat panels or even heating blankets near places you think your snake might hide. ive heard of leaving flour or cornstarch on the floor near possible hiding places to track the snake thats especially hard to find. cutegayjason (an awesome guy on youtube who breeds chondros and owns pretty much ever other kind of snake) said he once had to have a professional come in and tear up his heating duct-- the little guy was hiding in there.
if you cant find him today... relax, take a deep breath, and i hate to say it but--- wait--- until tonight. ball pythons, as well as iot of other species of snakes are nocturnal and more active at night. theres a good chance with a flashlight in tow you will find him more easily at night, hiding, roaming, or exploring.

I had my snake get out a couple of months ago, the day I brought him home. I turned the house upside down and inside out with no luck. The next day, early in the morning, my wife was getting ready for work, opened her underwear drawer and out plopped the snake onto the floor. It was six feet from where the enclosure was. I would check anywhere within 15 feet of the place of escape.

:( Hope you find 'em soon. I've had escapes before. Can you believe that every single time I've found them in the bathroom, between the shower and sick.

Go to their enclosure and lookaround the room for the first dark, warm place there is. If you have any electronics nearby, look in around or under them. Any clothing dressers or drawers around then look in or around those too...
